Fort Collins, CO RV Parks

Planning a late April early May trip to the Ft. Collins area. Tell me where the best RV places are.

KOA in Ft. Collins. Nice place. Not sure if they are open in April.

Here's a nice list: http://www.campgroundreviews.com/regions...o/fort-collins

I have stayed Roosevelt Nat'l Forest about 15 miles away and liked it - plenty of time to make good reservations still... http://www.campgroundreviews.com/regions...lt-natl-forest

Horsetooth Reservoir - I believe it is a county park. Very nice sites on the reservoir.

April / May could still have snow. I would stick to something closer to town the the foothills. Lakeside KOA is a nice spot - the WBCCI DenCO Unit usually holds their May Maintenance Rally (with +/- 70 Airstreams in attendance) mid-May. We have had snow mid-May...but most of the campsites have concrete slabs - so it's not too sloppy. Nice place - great owners!

Book early - we usually compete with parents of the local university graduation attendees in May.
