I can't for the life of me think of a forum member that lives down that way. Is there a way to search members by location?

Give Paula all our best wishes and prayers.

EDIT: go to the search bar and use the GOOGLE field and type in Evansville, IN

Some members popped up. Go to their profile and send some emails, if you feel comfortable with that.

I just spoke with Paula, and she seems to be okay, somewhat bruised, and of course shaken. She says her truck may live to tow another day, but her Airstream is almost certainly a write-off. From what she said, I think the truck is also toast, most don't tolerate being rolled and having an Airstream shoved up their nether regions too well.
She said to let everyone know she now just happens to be in the market for a slightly used Airstream, preferably around 27 feet long, to continue fulltiming in. If nothing else, her sense of humor is intact...

Thank you, Terry, for reporting on Paula. She is one of the lynchpins here at the Forums, and we are so glad to hear that she is OK. The Airstream and the tow vehicle can be replaced, one of our most prolific members cannot.

Dang, that bite's! Hope she's doing okay and I'm betting she's one of those tough ones that will bounce right back. Thank's for letting us know, sending up good wishes for a speedy recovery and for luck in finding a new trailer!

OMG! We are sorry to hear that news. Please let Paula know that she is in our prayers. Hope she has a speedy recovery. I know she will rest better when her sister gets there (even if she does not want her to bother!) Sisters are the best medicine sometimes.

I'm waiting for Paula to call me back. (it's 11pm) My thought is to hitch up my little box trailer and head to Indiana at 1st light to get her and her stuff. One of my friends has offered to help with the driving so we should be able to get her home to Virginia Beach without much delay.

As others have said, her crap can be replaced, she can't.

She's the best big sis I ever had! (read only sister )

All the best, Paula!

Very sorry to hear about your misfortune, and I'm sure hoping you get a clean bill of health from the docs real soon.

May you have fair winds and following seas again real soon!

Karen, safe travels. Taking your trailer may be a good thing. Do you think all of her stuff will fit in it? You might think of renting a U Haul when you get there, so you can do one trip with all of it. Even though we both know that Paula will have to be there again to see if you got it all. I hope you find her feeling better and that she is able to travel.

OK folks, Paula's been released from the hospital. She's banged up but OK.

The tow truck driver picked her up at the hospital and drove her to the trailer for some clothing then to a hotel! Now that's what I call service! She gave him a $100 tip!

She originally said she was in Mount Vernon, Indiana but it's actually Mount Vernon, Illinois, just off interstate 64. So if there are any folks nearby who can help us tomorrow, give Paula a call after 10am. Once she gets to sleep I'm hoping she'll sleep a full 8 or 9 hours.

Thanks again,
Karen
