FM 170 Big Bend
Does anyone have current info on travel on FM 170 Persidio Tx. to Terlingua, Tx. Planning a trip late March and would like to take this route into Big Bend NP. Thanks for the info, Jake
If I remember correctly, there is at least one place where you may bottom out. I took my former 22' Airstream through without trouble, but I don't know whether I would be happy with a large motor home.
All the good scenery is at the eastern end. The western end is pretty blah.

road to presido
there is one strech with a 15% grade...many sharp turns and ups and downs.....however i think one could traverse with a 25ft airstream...I was there in November at parked at Lajitas and drove the 170 but did not drag the airstream behind....If coming from Marfa, one would be just as well off to go to alpine and then south.......
