Thats too bad. Our dog is trained and has been camping with us since he was a puppy. Having never stayed at an Airstream park, is this normally the policy...no dogs?
No. We are stockholders at Highland Haven and many members and guests have dogs. We have rules regarding having pets in the park which we are strict to enforce for the benefit of everyone.
Children, dogs, cats, deer, turkey, Ruffed Grouse, black bears....we love em all here at Highland Haven. Ya'll come see us here in the Virginia highlands.
Jeff,
We have stayed there about 5 winters. They do not allow pets so many people are disappointed. The park is very well maintained with cement pads for the trailer/MH and cement patio. Cement runners for vehicles alon with a 9x9 shed.
There's a large club house with some activities. But since LYH is located very near everything including about 22 golf courses in the county, a lot of activities are off site. For instance I enjoy surf fishing and I'm about 7 miles from the Atlantic ocean. There's marvelous beach access in the county, free parking, showers etc every few miles.
LYH is only a few minutes from stores, shopping centers and restaurants, not to mention doctors and a first rate hospital that Cape Canaveral uses for their trauma center.
It is an Airstream park but they do allow non-streamers and in fact encourage it.
From the brochure we recieved, No dogs, no employment, and they have to "approve" your unit before they will allow you to park there. We belong to TT, so weren't not really interested, but they sent us a marketing packet as new members of WBCCI. We briefed through it, laughed, discarded. (we have dogs, she works through the internet, and our unit is not pretty yet)
