We are planning a trip down the Florida Gulf coast next year hopefully. Pensacola to Apalaciacola. Anyone have any suggetions for some good campgrounds? We are Good Sam's members. I'd love to have beachside accomodations for the entire trip if possible.
Thanks!!!
The Topsail State Park RV Campground is top notch. It is not directly on the beach, but has beach access. It it located on County Road 30A, about a mile off of US 98 in Santa Rosa Beach about 12 miles east of Destin.

Sounds like a wonderful trip! Gulf Beach Campground, mentioned in a previous post, was purchased by Sarasota County and is now called Turtle Beach Campground. You can find more information at http://www.scgov.net/CommunityServic...rtle_Beach.asp
This little park is on the southern tip of Siesta Key Island, just outside of Sarasota. Campsites are close together but the location is beautuful. You will find yourself looking at the Gulf morning, noon and night.
Most of the state parks are nice. All of the ones I stayed in were top notch.
If you are going in the winter you will need reservations.
