First trip of the season
Just back from our first trip of the season to Wheatley Provincial Park in south west Ontario, just a few miles east of Windsor.
It was great to be back out camping and we actually had a dry weekend, albeit that it was pretty cold most of the time.
Although local to us, we'd not been to Wheatley before and we were both very happy with the Park. It's not a huge place but the camping loops were nice and the individual sites were large and well separated from each other with trees and bushes. As with all Ontario Provincial Parks, the only hookup is electricity but the bathouses are excellent and the dump station is new for this year.
Oh, and we saw a Rockwell 34' Airstream Classic, too!
I'll do a proper park review on the review pages but have a glance at my blog (not quite finished right now - link below) for a less formal look at our weekend.
