First Trip In "Spirit"

We just finished our first trip in "Spirit" Our 30 year old Airstream.
Spirit had just been restored by a wonderful company called "Trailer Buff" They were featured in the Winter 2005 Airstream Life.
We attended our first WBCCI Rally. Stayed at a State park and dry camped at a NASCAR track.
In our 13 day trip we got to Visit Highland Haven Airstream Park in VA (Our first WBCCI Rally) We love our unit #149. They all made us first timers feel like part of the family! If your travels take you close please stop in. http://www.vahighlandhaven.org/
Our second stop was Grayson Highlands State Park. Cool nights ,great views and wild blueberries. Our camp hosts were great. They drove by each day to offer ice and firewood!
Our next stop was the Bristol NASCAR race. Nothing better than track side camping.

Special thanks to all the forum members who helped with all the questions. (I might leave out someone if I tried to mention every body!)Here is the link to the photos...http://www.airforums.com/photo...00&userid=2798
The Hensley worked perfect. The Enkay Rocktamers did a great job! The Honda EU 2000s did their job just great. We are already looking forward to our next trip.

Abe and Melissa, It was great to meet you two at Hungry Mother State Park! We loved your gem of a trailer and the fine workmanship that went into it. I found the Enkay Rocktamers at our local Cabelas. Thanks for the tip. We hope to see you on the road again sometime soon.

Wow, Abe, "Spirit" looks awesome. The wood cabinets really came out nice and the polish job is incredible. It was well worth the wait I can see. And add Spirit to the Qudrasteer Burb' and you got on hellava rig there! A big CONGRATS! Enjoy your beautiful toys.

Big Dee,
Thanks! You were one of the first forum members that I "met" over 2 years ago!! You did help me decide on quadrasteer and the Hensley!! What a combo!! I can see the trucks and big motor homes comming but I do not feel them!!
After you it was Pahaska and Twink. I do hope that we can rally some time or place! Like you say "Life is short, lets Rally"
Thanks again for the wonderful comments. I will take more inside photos when I get a chance. (Mrs Lincoln still has a few more touches to do before "Spirit" is finished.

Great pics and a great looking unit. I think SW VA is one of the most beautiful areas anywhere. Especially Highland Haven and Grayson Highlands.

Trailer Buff is located near Charlottesville VA. They give tours on most Fridays.
No web info but, their phone number is 434-361-2500. Dave and Martha Makel. Wonderful people and they are in our WBCCI unit #149.
I hope to post some more inside photos soon. Thanks for the comments
I will pass them on to Dave and Martha ( I will see them this Wednesday)

Yeah, Abe, the Hensley performed for me on my 8,000 mile cross-country trip like I could never have believed. The ease of driving was just fantastic! I saw many times big rigs causing TTs to sway all over. But never me. Just keep on cruising down the road, smooth as silk. Hensley rocks in my book.

Do take more pics of the interior. I am VERY curious just how nice Spirit is on the inside. What/when is your next trip?
