MrToad, did Zlee have any of those little Bambi-baked pies left to go with tea? That would make it a PROPER tea. I've been wary to bake in the Argosy, but seeing her blog posts has me tempted to try...

Zlee, have a safe tow back!

Tom

EDIT: I see on the blog that you instead brought a splendid tart. Nice "house"warming indeed!

Zlee had baked lots of little pies that complimented the pie we brought beautifully. Fortunately there were some of Zlee's pies left which we carried home are finishing off right now!

Mrs Toad is now determined to do a bit of baking herself, now, when we're on the road. Bring on the silicon baking goods...

Zlee, when do you pick up your man? It's going to be in the 50s here this week!

I've just finished up a batch of sour cream chocolate tarts for Glenn, who gave me the orientation on the Bambino - he doesn't eat fruit, so he had none of the tarts this weekend.

Bake! Bake! It's so fun to see what you can do in a tiny kitchen!

I pick up J late Thursday in Chicago and we'll head out on Friday, Brad -- what are your guys's plans for the weekend, think we can cause a path or two to intersect?

The trip back will take a bit longer than going out, since I'll be doing 20 mph less every hour!

Btw, thanks for all the encouragement, I have to admit I'm kind of scared to be towing back! :-/

You will do just fine! And if you make it back to KC we will have a drink and dinner for you! And remember, the first tow is nerve racking but FUN and it will be a trip you never forget! You will be telling the story of your first tow for years to come.

Opps! I go to OKC Friday morning. For some reason I thought you would be here Thursday night. So I'll be towing Bambi back home Saturday. I can't believe I'm going miss you! If you need a place to stay Zell will be home.

Have no fear on the towing, Z. You have a fine set up there and the Bambino will follow you wherever you go with barely a twitch. You'll be back in Colorado before you know it and wondering what all the fuss was about. Hey, if I can do it I'm certain that you can!

Well, we'll see how far we get - if we're going through KC on Sunday, I'll let you know!

So long as I don't have to back up anywhere, anyway...

Cooling my heels, waiting on customs, and they're winterising the trailer again for the trip. Should be out of here in an hour or so if all goes well!
