Come to think of it, how do we know that Pharm will be the driver and the DW will be the navigator/nagrinator? Could be the other way around… We men make better navigators anyway; we never have to stop and ask for directions, even when we're lost!

Because it is an ADVENTURE to us...we ain't lost, we are exploring. Ladies tend to find that annoying. Perhaps I should have said "NAGRIVATIST"???

Oh, I thought Pharm said she (DW) was the "N" person. My mistake. ?

He probably did and I just missed it. Won't be the first time I overlooked the obvious.

My experience.

Co-pilot was toeing...semi familiar route.

...entering New Bedford Mass, on W. Rodney French Blvd.

DW..."I know we turn left somewhere along here?

Me..."Yes, turn left at the red light two blocks ahead."

Three blocks later.....

Me..."why didn't you turn left at the light?, you drove right thru it."

DW..."the light was green"

Thanks for sharing. Looks like you had fun.

There is a book available called Next Exit - lists all interstate exits and what is there; and if RV friendly in red. Very handy to keep in TV.
Now that is interesting. Ditto on the thanks.

Thanks for the post, especially the Monte Sano SP picture. Visited there many times in the mid 1960's while working on the Saturn V program for Boeing Huntsville.

Looks and sounds like you had a great first trip with the new AS. Congrats!

Nagrivator - oh I died laughing!!

To be fair to my wife - only when hunger strikes does she transform into the nagrivator - it's not something you want to experience

I'm annoying as the navigator cause I feel like I am still driving and am annoyingly checking her blind spots etc while driving

Remind her at canopener to do her impression of me as a passenger

Are you my husband? 'Cause this sounds like me and my husband!! You do NOT want to see my blood sugar drop!!! LOL

Funny thing I discovered over our 6 day Thanksgiving trip...the NAV shows the speed limit of the road you're driving on, and the speed you are actually driving. So now, when i tell husband to freakin' slow down and drive the speed limit, and he knows I can see exactly what's going on, he can not deny he's speeding any longer and can only say, "yes dear," and slow his a** down. This is working very well for me, thank you.

I believe the statement should read "slow our a**es down" since you both are in the vehicle...

Congrats on that successful first run, and I know you'll have many more to come. Now that I have a new TV (diesel), I'm also subjected to the, "can you find the diesel pump amidst the gas pumps, AND can you successfully pull in AND exit?" Tough enough with the gasser, but an additional challenge with the oiler. AND if you use the truck stops with high volume pumps to fill your new RAM you have to let it trickle into your tank or you just foam up. Trust me, the learning never ends, PharmGeek. At the same time, so does the fun....!!

I'm a big fan of Racetrak/Raceway stations. Diesel pumps on both ends for easy in/out when towing, and generally lower diesel prices than the truck stops.

I used raceway on way home - not a big truck stop but had a clear way in and out - I pulled up to pump and had ample space behind me to allow any vehicles around my trailer sticking Val there then a quick backup and out to avoid trying to turn around the pumps.

Oddly - I got the slowest pump I've ever used - took 10 minutes to get 17 gallons!
