Favorite activities while traveling with Shad's Shack

Libraries are a favorite place of mine to visit.......especially while traveling. They provide a place to learn about the community, local events and history of the area. Librarians are willing to share information about the community, answer questions and will help you find just about anything you're looking for. You can read local, national and international newspapers and magazines. You can use Internet or wi-fi, play a game, work on a puzzle, hear live music, check out the gallery or see a movie. Many libraries sell used books that you can read and drop off at the next library that you visit. In fact, you never know what you will find at a local library. I've never been disappointed.

While in Phoenix with your Airstream stay at White Tanks Regional Park and you can walk to the spectacular White Tanks Library. Great place to visit.

Because I still work camping is hard for me. But when I do I love taking Agnes with me and seeing the sites of odd museums, state and national parks.

I've been wanting to go to the Wooden Boat School for some time. I actually had reservations last fall but some emergency family issues prevented the trip.

Which campground do you use?

I worked on a horse ranch for a few weeks. Was a blast. Hiked, fished, drove the area to see all the sites, did some off roading on the small jeep trails, did some wood carving, tried to find 40 new ways to cook a steak.

I just can't flop into a camping chair and do nothing.

So, if the weather is warm, I like to do paper mache because it dries quickly. I also find it relaxing.

If I know of a non-profit organization that needs some table or event decor for a fundraiser, I will donate my time/paper-mache skill to that organization.

Made 20 of these mache hot-air balloons for such an event.
