Getting a great shot on that road with an Airstream in it would be pretty hard. Not too many places to pull over ... somewhat narrow and twisty in places ... and the locals like to drive fast.

Out of all the photos I have taken on our odyssey .... very few include the Airstream on a beautiful road or location ... not that easy to do ... makes me appreciate the ones I see elsewhere.

Fall color

I am joining a number of other Airstreamers at Cloudland Canyon State Park in Northwest GA at the end of October. We hope to catch the color at its peak.

Wish us luck,

Andy

well,it may not have an airstream in it, but to me it connotates the airstream lifestyle of seeing what is over the next hill in style and class, doncha know.....

Pics

Finally got some pics from this last weekend's camping trip in Indiana. We had the place to ourselves (virtually) and backed up to the lake. Colors were just starting to turn. The kids had a blast.

Sadly

We had aan unusually dry September and the leaves here are just quietly falling off. We usually have some color (sumac, for instance), but not this year. Best we can do this year are the bright red berries on the youpons, Possumhaws, and the like.

Please post some pics Andy, will be in Woodstock,GA Oct 19th, (via Delta, not AS) and look forward to a change of season while visiting daughter & family (first grandchild) as this is most likely spot for hubby & I to retire in a few years with the Bambi so interested in nearby camping areas.

San Diego is beautiful but I long for seasonal change and color this time of year

Love the pics of Utah Porky, will mark that for future AS destination point!

Cloudland Canyon is only a couple of hours North of Woodstock - You should stop by if you take a "leafing" trip to the mountains - Saturday, the 23td, will be "open house".

If everyone else is up for the drive, sounds like a fun day! Also are there mountains with pine trees anywhere in the region, say up to an 8 hour drive or so? We enjoy the Eastern Sierras and will miss that scenery if we move east, especially in the spring with wildflowers blooming in the meadows.

Have a great time

Barbara

Pines

We are not famous for the Georgia Pines for nothing.

They are as common as Apple pie and Chevrolet around here.

Debbie & I were in New Eng. last year for the fall display. The 1st year when we were both retired. I grew up just north of Boston, but Deb had never been in N.E. for the foliage. We spent a week on both ends of the Kangamangas Hwy. with many 'side' trips. Absolutely beautiful.
