Ernies big adventure!

It's been a year in the making from cocktail hour and my wife said bid on that 1957 airstream Caravanner on eBay ( yikes how do we get it home from Michigan) to today sitting alongside Lake Pyramid, Nevada!
The trailer was a total renovation except the axle and floor. Took a whole year tanks electrics plumbing propane and cabinets ( the only thing I am accomplished at) mostly polished.
I retired last week and we took off with the 2 mutts in one of the worst rainstorms ( 7+") in recorded history for Walla Walla, Wn. Headed south to S E Oregon and the Steen mountains soaking in the hot springs at Crane. Passed through Winnamucca got chased out of Canyon Creek by the BLM because of the fed shutdow. Headed to RyePatch reservoir our favorite spot till Pyramid lake.
We are planning to head to Arizona through Tahoe Vegas all suggestions welcomed.
Cheers Erik

Congrats on your renovation!

We found a wonderful campsite on Pyramid Lake just off I 80 near Reno. It's our favorite so far, $9 a night for a permit, it's on the Reservation.

Valley of Fire outside of Las Vegas was full but we were told of a Mesa south of Overton where we could dry camp. It's fabulous, you can camp here all winter if you want. Two other Streamers here.

We are headed to route 66 from Kingman Az. To Flagstaff, any good recommendations for free camping? Then on to the Grand Canyon?
