Enjoyable 4-night stay: Beaver Lake, AR
Gina and I have been able to do a 4-night stay at nearby (30-min drive) beautiful Beaver Lake. Met some friends from OKC who are tent camping here for 10 days.
Not very often that I can do absolutely NOTHING but relax and enjoy good company for days on end!

This area is very beautiful. It can get hot in the summer. My folks retired in Holiday Island, Arkansas near Eureka Springs. I think it was the best 15 years of their lives. Dad loved the fishing, and Mom loved the people.
We visited Beaver Lake many times. Brings back memories.

We feel very fortunate to have such a fantastic lake practically in our back yard! We are staying at the Lost Bridge North campground near Garfield..... You probably know the area?
One of our favorite things to do!

Thanks for posting this. We went every year with several families (before camping) and stayed a few miles from the dam on the white river at a place called Spider Creek. Great place for cabin rentals. The water there is cold river water from the bottom of the dam great for trout fishing, and then hop in the car for a 5 minute ride to the lake for lake activities.
We are going to try the corps of engineer campground later this summer, but I will also take a look at the one you posted about for next time.
Beaver Lake is such a nice body of water. Perfect water temp, and clean clean water. I just can sit on a big pool noodle by the shore all day.

Temps on Thursday and Friday were mid 90's with high humidity...... Air conditioner was really creating a lot of condensation. Today was maybe 85 and noticibly less humid.
Summer finally arrived within the last couple of weeks.

You are very welcome. This is one of many Corps parks on the lake. All sites have electric ( not sure if any have 50A... Our site 14 only has 20A and 30A ), no sewer, and water hydrants in the area, not at each site. We bring a 50' hose with us and reached at least 2 local hydrants. There is a nice marina and at least a couple of single-lane boat ramps.

I recommend trying any of the four major lakes in northern Arkansas. My personal favorite is Norfork Lake near Mountain Home. The Corps of Engineers does a great job with their campgrounds. The four lakes are Beaver, Table Rock, Bull Shoals, and Norfork. The water is always cold even on the hottest days of summer.
