DARN! I want to be able to take a quick dump. Why does the SewerSolution take so much longer than the stinky slinky? How much slower is it?

The main reason is the hose is much smaller and uses water to macerate the waste. I would say it takes me 15-20 minutes to do a good flush, although it need not be so thorough at a dump site.
You do need water to your hose and I understand you need something like a water thief to connect to a washdown hose without a hose fitting.

And you didn't tell him? He might just have been a beginner who had no idea that you have to pull forward for fresh water.

This was no beginner, nor was it his first rodeo. I was not about to shake hands at that point!

I saw a group of foreigners in a rented rv filling their fresh water tank with the flushing hose. I tried repeatedly to explain to them not to do it but they insisted it was OK because they had "separate tanks".

I feel for people that are behind these kind of campers that are rude, but for me I don't dump at stations but leave let every thing stir up on way home, pull into pasture dump. no hoses to worry about or getting hands dirty, if out 4 or 5 days use park rest rooms as much as possible.

Deliberately dumping wastewater on the surface of the soil, around here, can get you a $10,000 fine.

Well, I am working on being "real" popular, but.......I have gone my entire life in a hurry to accommodate people behind me in all sorts of situations, but in the past year or so, I have decided to be just like the guy ahead of me...I am going to take my time at the gas pump, grocery checkout and of course at the dump station....I waited my turn, so I am going to relish my turn.
Have at it.

I don't think I am that nice a guy, but it seems that it is just ingrained in me not to inconvenience others any more than I have to - don't suppose I will change at this stage of the game! (My wife thinks I'm so obsessed with this philosophy and that I am nuts!)

I think that there should be etiquette for those waiting in line at the dump station as well.
Some folks get out of their vehicles and stand and stare. Others stare from behind the windshield.
The message is the same; " Hurry up, we're waiting! "

To the person that wrote $10.000 fine where he lives, where I live is 5 miles from town & is a farm & it is legal to dump on soil as some septic tank services dump some farms around me.

Brian, who would have imagined that a discussion on dump station etiquette would lead to the golden rule. and it is actually that simple. Well done. On another issue while I am at it, I like your wheels and I recognized the gravel. Jim

We're good at world domination? Really? Considering how few countries in the world actually does things the way we tell them…

There are two kinds of people who take their sweet time while others wait, those who are oblivious, and those who enjoy making others wait simply because they can. The former gets my sympathy, poor souls, the later earn my disdain.
Now back to the original point, the guy who couldn't wait two minutes without knocking on the door, he has no social graces.
