Do you have a website or blog?

I was just wondering if there are others here that have their own website/blogs for their travels? We full time and think it was indispensable to have one...what do you guys think? How about sharing them here on this thread?

Also, are you happy with your sites/blogs? do you want one?

I have been designing while on the road -- have yet to hit the loterry...
Here is the latest one I did for a member of Airforums, here: Airstream Travels With Scrapirony

There are many who blog and have web sites. Most put the address in their signature line below their user name here.

Yeah, I keep just informal stuff on mine. There are a couple of travel thingies on it, but not a lot. I guess I should really do up my own instead of spending so much time on clients' websites. (But, then, clients pay me; myself doesn't pay worth a durn.)

We use the forums to blog about our trials and tribulations. Sometimes it even contains useful information...

Personally, I prefer a "free-wheeling" nature of a website over a blog which tends to "have to be" updated. Blogs seem to be very chronological & lineal in nature where as our websites are organized more topically. The downside of not committing to a blog IMO is that sometimes months can go by between updates...but it's not quite so obvious with a website ~ Websites better suit my style ~ although I admire those that can dedicate themselves to a blog.

I do use the forum in more of a blog style...quick updates, not a lot of detail, more conversational. I go into much more detail on our websites...more of a one-sided documentation of the project w/o the distraction of chit-chat.

I've actually stopped maintaining the "GlobeTrotting" travel section of our Maxwell website...it's kinda like watching someone else's family slide show...TMI, I really don't want to go there anymore. If I had more time...maybe, but it's a low priority for me right now.

Needs to be updated pretty bad...maybe you might motivate me to do it!

Also, I think there is a big difference between "a personalized" blog, and a generic blog, AND I don't really think posting on the forum can be considered "blogging?"

what do you think?

I have been surfing through the many blogs and websites listed here..and I think it is fair to say that a lot of these seem to lack a number of features and "koolness..." and most important lack total personalization... Is it because we're all a bit afraid to "jump in" or simply because we don't have the right resource/direction? I am just intrigued by this topic... and would love true user feedback. Of those who blog, and those who dont. Thxs!
