We rescued our plastic pink flamingo from a refuse bin in a local hardware store, otherwise doomed to life in obscurity due to having only one leg. The shopworn $19.99 price tag dangled forlornly from her beak. The store owner was only too happy to give her away at the bargain price of zero. She has no pedigree but we love her just the same.

Gnome At Home

It feels like spring in the Bay Area. Our daffodils are in bloom and our gnome has been out in the garden enjoying them.

We'll post more images later in the month when the narcissus, freesias and tulips come into bloom.

Thanks for the link! We'll look forward to keeping up with Norbert's adventures.

(We love his impromptu scarf and your signature quote!)

Happy journeys,

Happy journeys,
When it's -20C (don't know what that is in olden days degrees F), a scarf made of just about anything is most welcome. Norbert didn't use those exact words that but I thought the moderators might be upset if I repeated what he really said.

We are fully expecting to hear that signature quote for many years to come!

We have no gnome! Woe is we!
However, we might find one of those ole troll dolls the kids had.
I heard one dad comment on those trolls: "If that thing comes running down the hall one night, I'm shooting it!"
LOL They were frightful little critters.
We don't even have a flamingo yet. Moe Woe is we.
All we have are a couple of pinwheels who are pretty but lack personality.

No gnomes, but we saw some orcs lurking once. Then the zombies scared them off and we had to use a flamingo to protect us. Life at some campgrounds can be pretty rough.

Norbert in his new home

Norbert has taken up residence in his new 28' International Serenity. He went on his first aluminum camping weekend over Easter, to Rondeau Provincial Park in South West Ontario. The weather was horrid; very cold and very wet, so Norbert stayed indoors. He will document all in his blog but the silly sausage has forgotten the password to his netbook.
