Deep Creek Lake Campground Maryland

Just wondering if anyone has stayed at Deep Creek Lake State campground in MD and if it was difficult to park a 25 ft AS as most sights are only 30 ft.

Thanks

John

John, our absolute favorite State Park is right down the road from Deep Creek. Try Swallow Falls SP. Only two sites have water and electric but the virgin hemlock forest more than makes up for roughing it. The three sets of falls are spectacular this time of year when the water is high. If we get a real cold snap, the ice can make it very dramatic. You will not have a ton of room, but out 26 footer and super long truck fit on the site.
You can thank me later for this lead.

Swallow Falls is...

A great park. They have nice hiking trails, one to another park 5 miles away. Frank, maybe I'll get luckyand see you there. I'm hoping to go in April. MPJ

Frank Thanks for the tip however I had already reserved a space at Deep Creek and then got to thinking how difficult will it be to park the AS. I guess you would call it buyers remorse

It wasn't bad thirty years ago...but not sure how it is now

My dad took us camping there way back when and he had a 24 foot Wilderness back then. We had no problems at all.

But the campground we stayed at then was private and is no longer there. Not sure what's there now....

Hope you have fun!
