Cosmo's New Home (South Austin)

Cosmo's been relocated to South Austin!!!

Right on Barton Springs road between Chuy's and Baby A's.

Instead of paying $ for storage in Round Rock, and then trying to find a place to go 1 or 2 weekends a month costing us more $ in fuel, we decided that parking her in a long term adult only RV park in South Austin would be about the same costs but with less hassle and allow us to check out South Austin.

We can easily walk to downtown and great food and clubs in the area. Being here 2 weekends already has already had some impact on the waistline...

Cosmo will still remain road-ready. We will still take her out for rallies and road trips, but her new role will be our "2nd home / weekender" in South Austin.

Anyone in Austin is welcome to swing by and say "hi". We are the 2nd Airstream from the end, with the flamingos in front of the hitch.

That's very cool, BB. Are there any more spaces available? Would you be willing to share the pricing information for keeping it there? You could PM me if you preferred.

I'm about to have mine back together and road-worthy, and wouldn't mind a "cool" place to store it.

I used to keep Cosmo plugged in and covered in storage, but as fate would have it, a storm came thru last year and with 60 MPH winds, picked up the hail and blew it in from the north, which was the side that Cosmo was parked on....

So even with the best intentions, a freak storm will still get you if Mother Nature wants to get you...

So instead of $150 a month for storage, I put that to the monthly rent here, and get to use her whenever I want.

There is another Airstream here (28 CCD) that has been here full time for 3+ years and no damage. Being here in town seems to lessen the change of damage that the out parts of town get.

Besides, isn't that what insurance is for? (I've already got my money back from what I've paid in with the hail damage repairs last year).

Cosmo's wanting to be used as much as possible, and I'm gonna oblige.
