Smile completed a 3000 mile trip

I took my 25 ft 1975 AS out for the first time in June. Went from Wa State to Mt. Rushmore and back in 7 days. The trailer worked very well.
A really great campground we found was at Garyowen,Mt. called the 7th Ranch. Cost 27.50 with full hook-ups. Airstreams are few and far between in Montana.
Another good camp ground was at Deer Lodge, Mt. Nothing fancy but clean and close to town. Deer Lodge is the site of the old Montana State Prision and auto collection. Our best stays were at the out of the way RV parks. We stayed at 3 KOA's. They were old parks and not very friendly. The KOA at Hill City, SD was the best we have seen.

Sounds like a great trip, how long were you traveling? I checked out the 7th Ranch campground online, looks like a great spot to fish. We get our AS next month so are dreaming of future trips which is half the fun.

Will definately do the Mt. Rushmore trip, how long did it take to get there from Washington and what route did you take? They have a KOA campground nearby which looks pretty nice.

Take some pics and post them up!

We've never traveled to the N.W., it's going to be our focus next summer. This and any other 'good' spots/tips for the region are appreciated.

Enjoy your Airstreaming!!!!
