Greetings everyone! We are in the middle of summer, and our Glamping-Adventures are heating up!

Our latest trip was to an area I had never been: Grand Mesa. I think we could stay here well over a month, exploring the trails, lakes, and meadows looking for wildlife and fly fishing. We arrived just in time to see the sunset while driving up to Cobbett lake.

I remember our first visit to Grand Mesa on a family camping trip back in the 60s. I don't remember the campground but it was early summer. The mosquitos were indeed thick. Dad and I tried fishing the lake nearby but no hits, except hitting ourselves swatting mosquitos. I think we had our Apache pop up trailer on that trip. We left the next day because of the mosquitos. A few years later we were back but it was in August, no mosquitos.
