Christmas Airstream RV Park, Florida

Anyone have any experience with this park near the Space Coast? We want a place to spend about a week for sightseeing on our way south. Trailer Life rates it 5.5/6.5/5.5, but its always nice to hear from a real person.

My parents just went there for the clean up rally before Christmas. I'll ask them about it and give you feedback. They live in Orlando, so it's right there.

Correction-they didn't stay AT the AS park (why-I'm not sure), but their unit stayed in a field at FORT CHRISTMAS. Apparently, they are a couple miles apart. Anyway, she said the park seemed a little run down, but they only drove through. She did say that Fort Christmas has got some great vintage homes that she did guided tours through. They have tried to get period items into the homes and you can go through them.

Has anyone else been to the Christmas Airstream Park in Florida? Thinking of going there,lookin for some info.

We popped in for one night on our way home from Punta Gorda last year.

We pulled in after dark and in the pooring rain - they had no spots left - but went out of their way to check on the pre-booked sites - and jumped us into someones site that was coming in 3 days later.

It is not a huge park - but nicely treed. The facilities were clean, the owners were very nice and pleasant.

We took in the Space Centre while we were there (hoakey duty that was a big rip off) They sure do soak you with these touristy attractions - not really our cup of tea but it was raining all day and with the dogs they could stay in the car without getting hot. Now we can say we saw the real McKoy - i.e 1969 hint hint.

Can't say much about the area - did not hang about. Restaurants were close by.

It is not an airstream exclusive park - as real people can park there too.
