There aren't any RV parks very close to the Museum of Science & Industry. It is on the South Side of Chicago (the baddest part of town
if you're old enough to remember that song) Anyhow, I highly recommend camping at the Indiana Dunes State Park and commuting the hour or so to the Museum. Sadly, the Museum of Science & Industry isn't within walking distance of the city of Chicago. You would have to drive about 10-15 minutes to go to the city. The Indiana Dunes SP has the South Shore train that runs to Chicago right next to the park. Last time I was at the SP, I met a couple who were members here, who needed to go downtown & I advised them to take the train. It's an easy way to go to the city! The Indiana Dunes SP is a really nice park that sits behind a dune. You can walk to the beach, or hike trails. It's open year round. The Museum is a great place to visit. So is the Field Museum of Natural History & the Aquarium! Have a great time!
