Chevys in Mexico

While in Mexico this past week, I came across many 2005 Suburbans. Not shocking since they build many of them there right? Was I wrong. All the 2005s down there look just like the pickup trucks here (Avalanche look). They have the 3/4 ton pickup thick driveshafts, full floating axles and of course no visible cat converters. The trucks clearly had 6.0L engines and many 3/4 ton elements (4L80e etc), but not the hubs. It almost looked like they mixed and matched many aspects of the 1/2 ton and 3/4 ton into some models. I also found some of the compact Chevy's also didn't have the "Chevrolet" badging, just simply a "Chevy" badge. Here are three pictures I was able to grab.

Computers manufactured by companies such as IBM, Compaq and millions of others are by far the most popular with about 70 million machines in use worldwide. Macintosh fans note that cockroaches are far more numerous than humans and that numbers alone do not denote a higher life form. -NY Times 11/91
