Chaos at Camping World

Just saw some footage of the damage at the C.W. off I-40, just west of Flagstaff in Bellemont. Two confirmed tornados touched down this a.m. Looks like every trailer/mo/ho was damaged/destroyed. Pretty crazy weather around here, we had hail and thunderstorms last night and this a.m. Just heard there was a couple sleeping in their trailer that landed upside down in the parking lot. No one killed, but I hear broken bones. Scary weather around here, we had hail and thunderstorms last night and this morning. Heavy rain and thunder as I post.

We hit the Northern edge of it yesterday coming home from the Balloon Fiesta. We were in solid rain and heavy wind from South of Holbrook all the way to Fountain Hills. Thankfully, we missed the hail we had in Phoenix.

CW has been really taking it on the chin from the weather past couple of years - first the one in the Atlanta area was completely flooded and now this. Better make sure your insurance is paid up before you go in one - and I was in the one N of El Paso just off I-10 this morning. Feel lucky to get out alive!

Thanks, the only thing that really freaks me out is hail. I've seen some of the Airstreams that got a hailstorm at a get-together, I think it was in South Dakota????? They were flat-out trashed! My uncle in Phoenix got the baseball-sized hail yesterday; destroyed both his truck and car, plus the micro-burst took out windows and his beloved citrus and pecan trees.

It was the smallest tornado by ranking, but I'll be interested if they were able to clock the wind speed.

85 to 110 mph was the storm speed. Just saw on the news the folks who survived the storm roll-over were in a Airstream trailer! Saw a brief view, looked totaled.

Given the picture above, I'd probably be glad I was in an Airstream, even if I had to buy another one afterwards. Sad for the Airstream, yes, but good for the occupants thereof!

Wow! That's scary! We just got home from the Balloon Fiesta today but we went south on I-25 to I-10 instead of the I-40 route... We managed to miss the bad weather in NM yesterday and we had smooth towing except for a little wind when we hit the AZ border today... Glad we went south... And glad you got through it OK, Louis & Sergio...AND missed the hail!

This sold yesterday. I wonder if it survived being dead damn center of the severe weather in Arizona? Is the new owner here?

Your right, that was close to the epicenter. The film clip was so short and the trailer was so trashed, I could not tell what era it was.

My SOB Toy Hauler is at a shop in Phoenix for some repair on it's back end. I got a call from the repair shop. Because most of my trailer was under a canopy only the front end received hail damage from the storm that passed through. I'm going there today to check it out. I've been trying to get it all fixed up so I can sell it and have more money to fix up my newly purchased Argosy. I'd probably be better off if it has been totalled from the hail.

Storm Damaged Airstreams

Let's hope they don't sell to a salvager who then doctors the title and tries to push them on a unsuspecting buyer on ebay. It's happened.
