CGs North of Dallas

Does anyone know of a good CG north of Dallas. We are going to the King Tut exhibit and would like to find a nice CG for a couple of nights.

Thanks, 'shaker

We have stayed in two, Lake Park Campground in Lewisville (on 35E) - 972.219-3742 ($8 for seniors, $16 for younger) and Destiny RV off of 35E close to Denton (don't have the phone number).

Lake Park Campground is right on Lake Lewisville - lots of trees. Destiny RV is right off the freeway also with lots of trees.

Hope this helps,

Marcia

Sandy Lake is the best located campground for Dallas/Fort Worth. I-35E is the worst road for traffic, and the CG's farther north suffer due to this. Access to the Bush Turnpike and the Dallas North Tollway is key to go back and forth into Dallas; and using the Bush (again) to head towards Fort Worth, D/FW Airport, NASCAR park, etc, is what makes old Sandy Lake the best choice.
