Get 'em at Costco, they come in about a dozen(?) or so to a pack, pretty reasonable.

No, it rarely rains where I camp.

Most of the campgrounds we have visited prohibit washing. However, we were in Grizzly RV Park in West Yellowstone last summer and I inquired where I could take my trailer to wash it before I parked. They told me it was fine to wash it in the campground. This is one of the nicest RV parks I have ever seen and they had no objection--even offered for us to wash on site--while much less desirable places post signs not allowing you to wash there.

Just like yukionna said, "just ask"!

Perhaps some of these up-scale RV parks permit washing because they allow outside detail outfits to come in and wash, wax and detail units at their site. The not so up-scale RV parks may not have so many of the very high end motor homes buying detailing service.

We stayed @ Grizzly three years ago and it was awesome and I was equally surprised that they let you wash in the CG. They even sell wash supplies in their store!!

We will pick some up for sure. No one camps with us anymore becuase it always rains when we go out. Our families schedule events around our camping schedule.

Most prohibit it. It drives thier water bill through the roof if everyone if washing thier trailers. Hit a truck wash that "hand" washes.

After one of my wet winter road trips I asked if I could hose mine off. I wanted to get as much salt off as possible. I got and "Ok but if anyone reports you I am going to have to come down a lecture you".

I personally use the wet rags, dry rags method.

The two parks where we stayed mostly (in Texas) told us that "reasonable" use of water was okay. Such as, pre-wet with hose/shutoff & brush with liquid from bucket/ then a quick rinse.

I noticed that most other RV'ers were pretty good about this, only occasionally did I see water wastage (ironically, Midwesterners with copious state football team tags, logo's, etc) and it was the biggest, newest fifth wheels taking a few hours to get every last teeny bug off the gelcoat.

I use the drive thru coin washes when there is a raised roof and catwalk.

We were on an 8 week trip of the west in 1973. Couldn't get an OK to wash anywhere we stayed. Finally in an Oregon State Park near Astoria, I asked and two people standing there looked at each other smiled and said sure go ahead and wash it. When I finished the water was 4 inches deep on curb side of trailer. It never drained into the ground and was still there three days later when we left. I think I knew why the smiled when I asked.
