Cell Phone Booster - Verizon

Anyone have any suggestions or recommendations for a cell phone booster? (Verizon) We're looking to increase our signal, which we also use as our wi-fi hotspot. Also interested in knowing if you are mounting it to your TV or in your AS, or if it is portable. In general, do you see an increase in service when using?

Thanks in advance!

The VAP did an pod cast on the Wi Fi Ranger. Tom seemed to think it worked ok.. If you look on the VAP web site the should have the pod cast for down load.

Not all those who wonder are lost.

The Wilson Sleek for about $100 is the best cell phone booster I have run across. I find it works better than my expensive and fancy Wilson 3 watt booster with antenna. The online retailer: is a good source.

The only issue with the Sleek is that it is not really designed to allow you to use the phone in a conventional at your ear manner. The phone really needs to be connected to a Bluetooth device.

I assume you are talking about cellphones, not Wifi devices.

I bought the Wilson Sleek 4G (model 815126) from It cost $129.95 and because I was going on a trip to the North Carolina mountains in less than a week I paid the extra $20 bucks for 2 day shipping. Glad I did. It allowed me to use cellphone and wifi hot spot in a primitive campground that had virtually no coverage. Works on 3G or 4G. My signal strength (tested with nearly doubled in my front yard in Floral City, FL. Without the Sleek I couldn't do a test in the mountains so I don't know what the increase in speed was...but I was happy...had internet and phone.

You have to use the phone on speaker because the outfit comes with a "cradle" to put the phone in. I just got a new Iphone 5 and it is larger (wider) then Iphone 4s. Don't know if it works in the cradle or not, but the cradle is somewhat adjustable. The sleek also has a 12 ft antenna cord with a magnet. Antenna is only about 6" high but works well. Works on top of tow vehicle as well while driving.

Now...where should I attach a magnet to my Airstream? I used velcro on the roof.
