Trying to plan a trip through the Davis Mountains in Texas and then to Carlsbad Caverns and back to Big Bend. Can anyone recommend a campground in or around Carlsbad and the Big Bend area?

Just got back from that area. The Carlsbad KOA is 1st class and great. We stayed there 3 days. Then we moved to Brantly Lake State park for the next 5 days. It is a great campground. electric an water at $14 per night, hard to beat!!!
I've very much enjoyed both Marathon Motel/RV and Davis Mts State Park. For absolute (awesome!) boredom and relaxation coupled fabulous sunrises/sets I suggest Monahans Sandhills SP.
There are two just outside the entrance...can't be beat for convenience. I have report from our trip to Albuquerque. ..I'll find the link
