Caravan to Alumapalooza

It's Official. We have officially begun our caravan (if only of one) to the big event.

Our starting point is Mountain View , Arkansas where we have been roaming thru the music festival, whatching the pickers and the tourists wander the square in this beautiful little town in the mountains of Arkansas.

Today we are going the short drive to camp at Blanchard Springs for two days, reporting along the way as we go

This is an ideal place to spend a few days....the peaceful sylamore river and the abundance of hiking trails make this great.....no elec/no water...there is a dump station...with golden age pass....5$ daily

after two days at blanchard we have moved to tyler bend on the buffalo river at silver hill, ar.....a beautiful camp...no water , no electricity...there is a dump and it is 6$ bucks with an old geezers pass both of these camps do have water on the grounds, just not at each site....


it is a hard life
