Can't Poop!
O.K.... I have to admit this thread might be strange and maybe not original, but I have a serious question! First, I'm as "regular" as they come when I'm at home...with that being said. We just got back from a 4 day day stay at Kring Point State Campground in NY! (By the way, awesome!) Here's my issue...when we spend long weekends in the Airstream, I can't poop! Stop laughing...seriously! I could use some advise. I find that I get backed up and after three days of no doody I start to feel so so and really need to evacuate the, eh hem...you know! Any suggestions?

Wow, your brave man with that question. get ready for some fun but here is my suggestion. Enema kit sorry couldn't help myself.
When I was a mountaineer guide in BC, we would have people with the same issues. We feed them a Canada cereal called Red River. ( Oatmeal type) Try some fiber type food or metamucil in the evening to get things going... Prunes could work too. Don't' eat cheese or foods that block you up.

Not laughing! It happens! A lot of things can affect your system and knock it out of what...happens to folks all the time, especially when on a trip... is it the excitement, change of diet, just traveling/riding...who knows? Be sure to keep your hydration and fiber up and be prepared by taking along a mild laxative if you need it...

Remember what your mother used to tell you: "You're not eating enough FRUIT!"
And ps: this is the BEST bar none time of the year to dig into the fruit...

More high fiber foods, and lots of water.

On the subject of water are you drinking the local water, water from home or bottled water when you travel? (if bottled do you normally drink bottled?)
Many people have their system messed up by changing the water they drink no matter how good that water is.

I trust you are taking the cap off...
Although it sounds like the former alternative would provide plenty of roughage...

For me I think its the lack of activity that I normally get at home. Driving for hours and relaxing when you get to your destination is what gets me I think.

Then you could try to at least drink 1 bottle of water a day for the week before the trip to be use to the different minerals or lack of minerals and chemicals (fluoride, chlorine, ect.) in the water.

It may be psychological, and tied to a perceived lack of privacy in the Airstream. Can you use the public facilities at a campground? It gives you a walk to get there, too!

One word, fiber, it moves things. Less processed foods, i.e. white flour, white sugar; but rather more whole grains, fresh fruits and vegetables. Easier said than done at times, but well worth it. We keep bran muffins and honey on the counter when in the road, or trail. And of course the old standby...prunes.
One more item worth noting. We eat five times a day. Not three big meals of breakfast, lunch, and supper. But three light meals supplemented with grazing/snack events. Its fairly simple...We get hungry, we eat. Never getting to a "famished state" which leads to BIG meals. The eat as you go habit keeps us on an even metabolism and helps minimize most weight fluctuation concerns.

Surprised no one has mentioned coffee!
I had a similar regularity problem when I hurt my back and was on painkillers.
What I would do is get 2 XL tim hortons coffees, let them cool down to chugging temp and down the hatch. 5 min later success !
Obviously camping dosent afford a quick rip to the coffee shop but I'm sure however you make coffee when camping will work fine.
Also seems to work best if the coffee is ready to drink as soon as you get out of bed and before you start doing anything, but that would require someone else making it for you.
👍💩
