Weather was nice, at least as far as Oregon coastal weather is concerned. Went and toured the old coastal defense installations that guarded the mouth of the Columbia river during WWII and before, including the battery that was the duty battery the night the Japanese sub attacked the mainland US during the war.
In full bloom as well were the mosquitoes. Ahh, they were grown to their full size already, a bit larger this year than average it seems. About the size of a house cat. We came home covered in bites. The dogs too. Each time we poked our heads out of the trailer we were dive bombed. All day and eve long unless we coated ourselves in chemicals.
Beats staying home and working though.
The first pic is our truck and trailer, the second is the inlaws, camped next to us.
