Tuttle Creek Campground, just above Lone Pine, Ca.in the Owens Valley.
High desert location so Fall and Spring time is best, plenty to do and see being just outside of the Alabama hills area and in the shadow of Mt. Whitney.

Mrs. Too Tall flipped out seeing this. I love the idea. Can you tell me about passage to get there? On a sidenote I wonder if once I cross the border if I'll develop a unquenchable appetite for real beer

05ModPod That looks like an absolutely wonderful spot! I have been looking around the Newfoundland tourist websites to find out more information about how to get there. Not much info there regarding camping. If you could share a little bit about your route that would be great!

We are working towards an all electric trailer. The panels/ system functionally replace a 3000 watt generator. We run A/C, induction cook top, microwave, refrigerator, and can heat water electrically while off grid.

Thanks for the great Campsite Pics.
I also noticed all the solar panels, and see that you have posted details of your installation on the 23D thread, starting with Post # 341 on 7/24/17:

Subsequent posts on the 23D thread provide more details, and thanks for that. [#430 on 8/12 etc.]

Mama Gerties is a similar kind of place. They too have "mountain top - unobstructed view" sites along with a section of wooded sites nestled a little lower. No concrete pads up top there but they have large decks with porch swings. Don't forget that unobstructed view also means 'no windbreak'. We didn't use the main bathhouse but it looked like one of the nicest ones we've encountered.
