Camping near San Antonio, TX

We are going to San Antonio, Texas the week of Thanksgiving to visit our daughter who works in the burn unit at Brooks Army Medical Center near San Antonio. Any suggestions for nice campgrounds near San Antonio?

Alamo Fiesta RV in Boerne is not as close as some mentioned, but you could join our rally there and share in our food/fun as your time would allow.

Thanks, I'll have my daughter check our the KOA and Traveler's World and let me know which is closest to her. I'm pretty excited because I'm going to fix Thanksgiving Dinner in my Airstream since she is single and doesn't cook or have supplies. Wish me luck!

We stayed at Traveler's World last winter on our way to CA. The place was clean, easy to check in and all the surrounding campers (seasonal folks) were very friendly. The bus to the downtown area was right across the street and we used it twice. The Mexican restaurant across the street was yummy with live music.

The KOA east of downtown San Antonio is a nice place that is handy to downtown, bus line and where you want to go.

Ditto on Traveler's World. we stayed there in June. I got so lost in San Antonio.... I was stationed there in 1972---

Anyhow, we got the last spot in the northwest corner of the park, shade and privacy-- Didn't see any other Airstreams in there.
