Just got back from our trip. Had a great time even though it rained some every day we were there. Campsites are a little small but we liked it. By Friday it was packed! Visited the Forbidden Caverns. Was a nice tour but not a very good road leading to it. Will post some pictures once everything is unpacked.

Glad to hear y'all had a good time. I'm willing to bet most of those Smokies cammpgrounds are packed this time of year. Maybe I'll be able to join you next time around.

Even though I didnt see any bears, I did find a few rocks that look like gold . Im sure it is pirite, I couldnt be that lucky . We did see an older Airstream sitting behind and RV dealer on 411. We figured it was a trade in. They had it sitting way out back behind the building, How Rude! My nephew spotted it on our way back from the Caverns.

That looks more like gold than your ring does.

We are heading up there tomorrow (Wednesday) afternoon.

Do any bears see you?

Waterfalls must have been great, with all the rain

The ring is silver, lol. We didnt see any bears but the water was so cold in the creek at the picnic area in the Smokies, that my legs went numb after a few minutes of wading it it.

How was the daytime temps?
Hot enough to make you want to try the water?
We are thinking of bringing some tubes to float in.

It was hot and muggy. It rained almost every day for a couple of hours. There were lots of people swimming in the deeper parts. It felt good once I got past the numbing effect, lol. There was a couple on a trolley we were riding that said they saw a mother bear and 2 cubs crossing the road higher up in the smokies. We only went about 8 miles in for a picnic. Hope you get to see some. Maybe one day I will. I may take a ride up in a couple weks to look for more of that pirite, who knows, maybe I will get lucky and find a nugget!

On our way to see the Bears play

Probably not the best choice for a towd...

Fresh batteries in the cameras...were on a mission to see some Smoky Bears...not the kind that wear sunglasses

Love your rig!!! My first reaction, before I read your post, was "Now that's a towd!"

Have fun.

Back home...
Lots of photos and good camping info...
Tons later,

We did see a couple of bears...

Turned into a quest for water falls, it had been raining and we found some good ones...

Familiar Home...

With a front lawn like that, you could host a great rally. Thanks for the pics.
