Camping in the Black Hills

We managed to get a few days of camping in prior to all the bikes coming for Sturgis. This is the second time out with our "new" 1983 Sovereign. The pictures are taken at Hanna campground just off Spearfish canyon. No services, but how many places can you park mere feet from a beautiful stream with lots of shade.
It doesn't get any better than this!

Yes there are. As a matter of fact, just down the road a piece is Spearfish Creek which has several blue ribbon trout fishing areas.

Rick & Linda: Black Hills is still one of our favorite spots to vacation having grown up in eastern SD. When we lived in Mobridge, we spent many weekends in the Hills. Nice looking rig, too.

That looks like a great camping spot. Nothing better than falling asleep at night to the sound of running water. Nice looking rig too, but why isn't that canoe polished?

Great pictures and very good looking camper. I camped in the black hills 35 years ago. All I remember is the hills were beautiful.

hanna is a nice spot.

the water is cold enough to keep your beer drinkable.

even during bike week there are usually a couple of open sites.
