Camping FL Panhandle and Gulf Shores, AL

Does anyone on the list know if the campgrounds are back open in Gulf Shores,
AL and across the Florida panhandle (mainly Panama City to Ft. Walton)?
Before the hurricanes, we were planning a trip across the FL panhandle after the Region 6 rally at Rayne, LA, but we may want to go another direction.

Your input would be appreciated!

Sam

Go to the horse's mouth

Get in touch with the campgrounds of interest. Who would know better...

Saw your post on Hunter's list. Thanks for giving me another chance to reply.

Mystic Springs Airstream Park is open

Mystic Springs Park is back open minus 96 trees. All utilities have been restored.
Mystic Springs is 25 miles north of Pensacola on US 29 in McDavid FL. Since the I10 bridge is out just east of Pensacola, some I10 traffic is routed near this area now as it is the next big bridge north of Pensacola.

Herb, thanks for the first hand information. That is the kind of input I was wanting. I have stayed at Mystic Springs and enjoyed it very much.

I will call a couple of places where I was considering staying and see if they are open before I venture too far east out of Rayne, LA.
