Camping Durango

We were planning to spend a few days in Durango next week (after Memorial Day).
Anybody have any recommendations for campgrounds with hookups? (or places to avoid.)
Dave

I like United - I know everyone seems to recommend Alpen Rose - which I think is not very interesting - United is on the river and the train goes right through it -

If you don't mind being twenty five miles, or so, out of town, I highly, highly, highly recommend Blue Spruce RV Park out on Valliacito Lake. We've been going there for years and absolutely love it... can't wait to get back later this year!

Thanks for the suggestions. I'll look at both of these campgrounds

The thing I liked about Alpen Rose was the hot breakfast (reasonably priced). MY daughter went with me and we enjoyed meeting other campers there. Since you are 30 amp you should be able to get one of the nicer spots in the older section on the hill too.

We also like United. Friendly, good location, and the steam train runs right through camp a few times a day.
