Camping at the Pismo Beach area

We have been able to carve out some time in September for a week in the Pismo Beach area of Central California. I am having a tough time finding some place to camp for a week that looks promising. Price is not the concern but noise is. Like full hookups too. We plan on day tripping so we are open to suggestions for any good place to stay. We will be doing Solvang for sure.

If you don't care whether or not you're actually on the beach, you might try El Chorro Regional Park between SLO and Morro Bay. It's a San Luis Obispo County park, and they have other parks as well, including Lopez Lake, a few miles further inland. Both have hookups.

North Beach Campground (Airstream dealer Sky River RV is across the street) is really nice, but all dry camping. Right next door (north) is Pismo Coast Village. PCV is nice, but packed tight, we usually don't go there except in the off season. We will actually be there for a week in September. You can kinda compare the two campgrounds right here. Google Maps

We've also stayed in Pismo Sands and Pacific Dunes. One of our new favorite spots is further north, Morro Bay State Park.
