Look great

I have considered staying in military campgrounds but haven't yet. Some don't have a lot of appeal and seems more for TDY. The cost sure is reasonable. Is there much information on this forum on great places and great bases to stay on. Thanks

We have stayed at several military bases, some are nicer than of our favorites is Davis-Monthan in Tucson, AZ. The staff are very welcoming & organized with handouts of the area & have you parked in an expedient manner.

This URL should take you to a good website with reviews of military campgrounds and recreation centers.

We served as part-time hosts at Davis-Monthan Tucson last winter. I agree they are varied in quality, perhaps allow too many "homesteaders". They are designed to accommodate travelers and do that very well, not as well for extended stays. We like the security, never locked a door, left keys in truck.
