Camping around Stone Mountain, Georgia?

We are looking to attend the Country Living Fair this October in Stone Mountain, GA and wanted to know of a great place to set up camp in our 28' Safari. Any Stone Mountaineers out there that can share their experiences? Thanks in advance.

Stone Mountain Park has a great campground inside the park. There are many attractions within the park as well, especially if you're bringing kids.

I would go to Stone Mountain campground. If you want to get out just a little bit. Check out Ft. Yargo in Winder Ga. It is about 50 minutes from Stone Mountain.

Make your reservation in one of the newer backin sites that circles around the pool and playground. They are considered premium sites and many come with a small deck and gas grill. Check the site map online. There is also a premium pull thru site over looking the lake that is super huge. I mean real big. Be sure and go there for the Yellow Daisy Festival.
