Camping around Auburn CA

We are leaving for Nevada City tomorrow and are looking for a camping spot for our 27FB. We are being joined by 3 of our kids families who will be in tents. Hiking would be important but hookups aren't. We are considering White Cloud off of highway 20 but hear it is noisy.

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance

Not to far from Auburn down Hwy 49 thru Forest Hill. Their is a little reservoir call Sugar Pine. Their are 2 campsites, 1 is Shirttail Creek and the other is Giant Gap. You can make reservation @ reservamerica.com. Shirttail creek is the nicer of the 2. If you can't make reservation they also have about 10 or first come first serve site.No hook ups. Things to do: swimming, hike around the lake and fishing. The lake is a 5 mph lake, so no speed boats or thing to this affect. I hope this helps. Happy camping

On another note. You should join us NorCal group in April at Casini Ranch. Great bunch of people. See ya down the road.

It might be interesting to park in one of the ski areas parking lot. Lots of room, quiet, hiking, dirtbiking.
