I have stayed at two campgrounds in Eureka Springs. Wanderlust is a pretty highly rated campground, but you can't have fires, host has to lead you to your spot and you're sandwiched very close together. My preference is Black Kettle, which is a plenty nice enough campground with few restrictions. People that run it are also very nice.

TLMiller, welcome to the forum! We are always glad to see another Missourian join in here. Have you found your Airstream yet? Be sure to keep us posted, maybe with a picture of the trailer. Sorry, I cannot help with campground selections in E Springs. ~G

Just came from the Hot Springs area last week. Stayed at Lake Ouachita State Park. Very nice park, but try to get a single occupancy site if you can - if you get a full-hookup site this is a non-issue. While we were there we also toured several others (Lake Catherine, DeGray, Petit Jean). Lake Catherine has nice sites, but the lake's kinda ho-hum. Petit Jean impressed me the most overall, but wouldn't be convenient to either Eureka Springs or Hot Springs. Wife recommends Wanderlust as well as Bull Shoals w/ a site on the river. Can't get in the river there, though - I hear you'll turn blue.
