I've been knocked out with the flu for 3 weeks, so the most energetic thing I can manage this morning is to come up with a fun thread. The aim will be to guess the location of a photograph taken in a campground where an Airstream is parked. The prize for the first correct answer?- all the karma I can give, which is about 15 points I believe. One new clue each day if no-one has given the correct answer. The first picture is below, and the first clue is that I've only walked about 200 yards from the trailer, and launched the kayak off the shingle beach in the foreground. If this idea is popular, a new thread for each photo might avoid confusion. Perhaps a moderator might have a view on the best way forward. Left click on the photo for an enlarged view.

Hmmmm.... I didn't think about how to deal with supplementary questions. Perhaps I'll answer them if none gets the right answer within the first 24 hours.

You can get a pointer to which region this is in by looking very carefully at the picture. There is an indistinct clue.
Nick.

I could be mistaken, but that looks like a palm tree just above the tree line on the horizon.
Well spotted! A true detective.

Nice try. I've kayaked there, and explored the mangrove tunnels off Sister's Creek. They're very trickey to find from Boot Harbor, and a GPS was reassuring. But no, not there.
