wild & crazy streamin'

Our neighbor went to Burningman last year & brought pix. Wow!
We won't have our Tradewind ready this year but next year the LeisureLoaf and it's 12VDC solar-powered surf-soul-jam band (us!) will be there! The new cultural paradigm, the rally for the Weird. Airstream certainly does cross cultural boundaries. Anyone take their AS to the Oregon Country Fair in Veneta? (that's our home turf) Any other Rainbow/hippie Airstreamers out there? Would love to see inspirational pictures of your rigs as we slowly renovate our TW.

FYI, on the current Airstream marketing DVD there is a segment that deals with the Airstreamers at Burningman. The DVD, has the Airstream musical segment, some test tow videos, a long E special for Matthew McConaughey and his Airstream, and the Burning Man segment. See if your dealer will let you watch it (assuming they have it) at their place.

Just sending out a big hello from Black Rock City!!!
I got here ready for work this afternoon in my new (to me) 71 Caravel, now the 3rd airstream i have had in the desert. Working in the dispatch center now, look forward to setting up camp tomorrow. If anyone wants to visit, feel free I'm on shift often at the DPW Depot it is on 5:30 and out past the last street, my playa name is Phoenix

Rivka
P.S. i think i counted 4 airstreams in First Camp (where the founders camp) so far, including one of mine that i recently sold to a coworker

Hi Rivka, SO how are things at BM ? I was wondering, is there an Airstream Group there ? I have heard of Burnstream Court but, can't find anything about it on the BM website ? I looked at the map and it doesn't show exactly what is where.

This year is a no go, but next year I will come.

We're going to Burningman. Just bought tickets and usual stuff. I've wanted to go for years but the trip from Texas was tough. Now living in San Francisco so can't miss the opportunity. Sad to say that I won't be in the Airstream mh taking the 79 Barth instead. joe

Envy Personified

Rivka,

Had plans to go but they fell through, alas. Next year I hope. I'll make my own more permanent plans that won't fall through. I want to be a virgin!

Have a great BURN!
