Buffalo National River-Arkansas

Is there a National campground on this river in Arkansas. I have checked the Nat'l Forest and COE without success. We had heard there is a National campsite there but I sure can't find it. Does anyone know of one?

Fees & Reservations - Buffalo National River

The campground at Buffalo Point is in the National Park and a beautiful place. I have been there many times both camping and canoeing.

This is a beautiful area! We have driven through and earmarked it to revisit.

When you go, report back to us!

Buffalo Point is very nice. We spent 3 days there last October. Make sure you take the hike to Indian Rock House cave. It is awesome. If you like great bluegrass music you can stay a couple of days in Mountain View, about 50 miles away, not to far from Buffalo Point. The Ozark Folk Center is well worth the time to visit. Finally, on the road between Buffalo Point and Mountain View is Blanchard Springs caverns. Run by the Forest Service, it is a spectacular cave. They have two different tours and each is great. There is a campground at Blanchard but no hookups. We like Sylamore Creek campground, about 6 miles north of Mountain View.
