Buffalo National River Arkansas

I am trying to plan an Autumn camping trip in Arkansas this October. I'd like to camp near the Arkansas River. Any campsite recommendations?

We camped at Wunderlust in Eureka Springs then drove to the Buffalo River area. The hosts were so nice and knowledgeable about the area. Great place to stay and use as home base.

Are you wanting to stay near the Arkansas River, Buffalo River or someplace in the middle? If you are talking about the Buffalo River I would stay in Eureka and drive to the Buffalo River. But if you want to be more centrally located to see other parts of Arkansas I would stay at Pettit Jean State park.

I live close to the Buffalo River and my favorite area is Buffalo Point (federal CG) . Autumn is a beautiful time at the Buffalo River. I think my favorite site is 67 or 68. Go check out the old Zinc mining area at Rush, AR. If you like history it makes for great outing.

Check at Buffalo Point regarding fall trips. They have some planned construction and the Razorback Unit of WBAC had to change it fall rally location from there as it was going to be closed.
