Hopefully it isn't a limited engagement!

Glacier Tours

One thing we tend to take for granted is the beauty around us that we see every day. This view may last for our lifetime, but it looks like future generations may not have the same opportunity!

When planning that next tour, one might make it a Glacier Tour and get some pictures of your happy mug with a Glacier in the background.

You will see some beautiful country and meet and make some new friends along the way.

Never leave it for another year if you can do it now. Start planning for that 2013 Glacier Tour now.

Ski season will start soon, but this is a great year round POI that is still within the average persons budget.

I so agree! We visited the Columbia Ice Field between Banff and Jasper in August. I'd been there in 1975, and remembered the glacier as pretty close to the road, whereas now it is a short hike to the toe of the glacier. Turns out my memory wasn't fading-- the ice actually had receded that much since my first visit.

Banff has many glaciers visible from the highway, as well as tours onto the Columbia Ice Field intself.

Cowichan, Vancouver Island

Its that time of year to plan your getaway.

This will give you some ideas of the Cowichan area on Vancouver Island and help kill a few moments if you are bored.

If you are doing the wine stops, I recommend a designated driver!

Watch in full screen on Utube is the best. It takes a few seconds to start.

Dave

You are in this area north of Victoria.

If you are travelling in BC in the cold season, make sure you get off the road if you have to stop. This little machine will move a lot of "stuff" and I would not want to be parked on the shoulder of the road when it passes.

We are just back from two great weeks in BC. Visited The Okanagan, Lillooet, Whistler, Nainamo, Tofino and Campbell River. The weather was a nice contrast to central Texas. The food and wine was fantastic! Information centers everywhere. The province was spotlessly clean and the people welcoming and very friendly! And of course one of the most beautiful places on earth!
