Borrego Springs, best route from east

We are heading from Phoenix to Borrego Springs today and are wondering about our route. We can either stay on 10 to Indigo and drop down or else take 78 through Brawley. Any issues with taking 78? I'm assuming it would be a bit more scenic.

We have taken 78 from Blythe to Brawley several times. Easy pull.
You might want to top off in Quartzsite..$2.07 9/10 today at Pilot and Loves. 2.37 9/10 and up today in Brawley.

Have a nice drive. Enjoy the dunes.
