My buddy Jimmie. Forgot to tell everybody that we are here also. We have decided to stay here for the summer. Its just too nice. We spent the last week weth Jimmie and now we are just 1 1/2 mile down the road right on the RIM. I promis to get some pictures up and will keep jimmie up to date on any messages. Sheri found her Dutch oven. Food will be better yet. Mike and Sheri

Hi all,
We r at camp ground 9350 . Just 1 1/2 mile down the road from Jimmie who is at Mogollin camp area. The only differance is it is FREE here and we are just 20ft from the Rim and u cant believe the view. I had to go to Mesa yesterday to get the rest of our boondocking gear. It was 94 there and 71 here. Neet... We are getting settled in. There is a 14 day limit but who knows if they will inforce it. Going fishing in the next few days, wish me luck. Hope some of you will come up and see us. We have a lot of room in our camp site, its huge

Ah...further up the road from the Mogollon Campground...in the boondocking area...we didn't see that area, but Jimmy told us about it. It sounds great! Now don't you be doing any sleep walking that close to the Rim! Have a great stay...

What amazing views you must have. That's our kind of camping! Can't wait to see pics. Would also love to hear about what Sheri is cooking up in that Dutch oven. Keep us posted as to whether there's still space to camp there as the summer gets underway.

Hey - did you say fishing?? We just came through that area on our way back from our annual Memorial Day White Mountain fishing trip with our flyfishing club. We were out for a week and was it ever nice. We were up around 9100 feet and the temps were mid 70s during the day and lower 50s at night. Just perfect. Oh, the fishing was great as well. We fished Hawley Lake, Earle Park, Lee Valley Reservoir and Cresent Lake.

We'll have to get up there before all you guys depart.

Brad

Well its been an interesting week. We left the rim and jimmie and drove 1600 miles to Port Townsend Wa. We had a good trip through Utah, Idaho and Oregon. It has been 74deg. and clear all weekend. The national forest decided they would inforce the 14 day rule this year. Then you have to leave the forest, between the altitude and the heat we left. Boy are we glad to be back in Wa. Have a good summer and we will see you at the balloon fiesta. Mike and Sheri

We are heading up there this Friday to find J and his lovely wife. Time to get out of the heat now that summer is here. Maybe we'll see a few more of you there.
