Bonnaroo 2005

Anyone else planning to take their Airstream to `roo 05? We are preparing to commit with tickets going on sale 1/27. Would be way-cool to see a sea of silver together in the lot. Ok, it will be way-cool in any event!

I wanted to go last year. There were several groups that I like there, though as I get older I have a harder time keeping up with the new stuff that comes out. Not that I don't like the new stuff. Also, my wife felt it may not be a family atmosphere.

Anyway, here's the link: http://www.bonnaroo.com/2005/

Bonnaroo was in June last year. Held on a farm near I-24 and Manchester, TN. I was on my way to look at an Airstream and got caught in all the traffic.

Rob - I must have sat in traffic with you last year. What a mess it was, especially for those headed west toward Nashville.

My only concern would be getting my Airstream into the grounds - the field is right next to I-24 and for the westbound traffic, the TN DOT had cut the fence along the highway and had filled the ditch with gravel to make a driveway right off I-24 and into the field. It was already in pretty rought shape when I saw it and that was before it had actually started. If the field gets muddy you could be there for days.

I was on my way to Clarksville, TN from Atlanta. I noticed another entrance just west of the area you mentioned. It was located at an exit. You probably could enter there with no problem. I would love to go just to observe the people. I saw some strange looking folks waiting in traffic to enter Bonnaroo.

T-Minus two weeks...

With only two weeks before the journey to Bonnarroo 2005 in Manchester TN, we are getting all excited. Really, no other Airstreamers heading there? Must be lurking. I saw a bunch last year!

Go to Keyhole and type in Campground Rd Manchester, TN
Check it out. Keyhole rocks!
